When I heard that Billy Mays had died I thought my mom was playin' a joke, but then I realized that it was true. I was very upset when I found out that Billy Mays died, he was my favorite infomercial pitchman. Billy Mays was truly a pioneer for all sorts of media. His famous quote "Hi Billy Mays here for Oxi Clean!" will ring in my head for years to come, but will be a happy thought whenever it comes to mind. Rest peacefully Billy, I hope one day I'll see you doing another commercial for Oxi Clean in heaven! Hey someone's gonna have to sell it to us to keep our robes white!

We were saddned to hear of Billys passing and hope his family finds the stregnth to endure this most difficult time.
Billy burst into our homes every day bringing us products that served to both make our lives easier and bring fortune to the inventors whose dreams he helped realize.
He was more than a "pitchman", he was a figure of the American dream realized. We'll miss you Billy. God Bless.

There's a real gang of us here who shouted for joy when this guy croaked. We cannot for the life of us fathom what redeeming quality anyone saw in this obnoxious, repulsive creature. He had what all of us think is the most annoying, irritating voice ever heard on North American television: a gravel voice that never spoke normally, always screaming at the top of his lungs. Intelligent, educated people do not respond favourably to being screamed at. He was unbelievably uncouth and uncivilized. We dubbed him the Bearded Bellowing Bull Billy - "4-M" for short - and no thanks to him, the 'mute' buttons on our remotes are almost worn to stumps.
His living voice has thankfully been silenced and we all hope his obnoxious commercials follow him to his grave and the sooner the better.
Yes, Virginia...there is a God and He took pity of North American TV viewers and put an end to our misery when he decided this creep's time was up. Good riddance! May he rot in hell and suffer the pain all of us did every time he screamed at us unmercifully.

Value is a perception. This is something that Billy knew well and thus became a household name. It would be a great tribute to him, not to attempt to be Billy, but provide your clients/customers with value (as they see it), rather than just talking to be heard.

R.I.P. Mr Mays!

"It's true that Mays was an inspiration to most new entrepreneurs out there at one point or another. In fact, he was the perfect embodiment of the American dream, from his humble beginnings on the Atlantic City Boardwalk to becoming a national icon with his own television show. He was our daily reminder that the only thing standing in the way of liberating ourselves from the 9-5 jobs we hate so much was a simple way to solve a problem coupled with a good sales pitch. While Billy Mays has passed, he lives on in the imaginations of millions of Americans whenever they ask themselves that famous question: 'Why didn't I think of that?'"
